About the Organization

Hjortmosseskolan is a centrally located municipal school for grades F-6.

At the school, each grade works in TEAMS where teachers and after-school staff collaborate closely. This is a working method that we will continue to develop together with improving the quality of after-school care and collaboration between departments.

For the upcoming school year, we will also redirect so that teachers in after-school care will teach sports and health within the team. Together, the mission is to focus on movement and health in a broader perspective at the school. This will also include movement as an integrated element through more enjoyable breaks as part of this work.

If you want to be involved and are comfortable collaborating and have a desire to work dynamically and flexibly for the students' best learning opportunities, then I think you should apply for a position with us. We are now looking for a teacher in after-school care as one of our colleagues is retiring, as well as a parental substitute.

Job Responsibilities

With us, you will work as a teacher in after-school care and be part of a TEAM (one grade) where you will be responsible for sports and/or another practical subject. You will always participate in Swedish and mathematics teaching. All students in grades F-3 have an extended school day where you share responsibility with the teachers for our compensatory and supplementary subject, which we call HEK.

You will also be part of the Teacher in After-School Care team. Together, you will develop after-school care by working purposefully with the seven competencies and the city’s and school’s quality goals. You will participate in joint forums and planning meetings and be active in making all our learning environments accessible.

Qualifications

You should be well acquainted with your assignment based on current governing documents. Using the curriculum as a basis, you choose methods, content, and approaches based on each student’s knowledge, experience, and specific conditions. You have a good ability to translate planning into practice. Working as an educator (teacher in after-school care) with us requires decisiveness and good collaboration skills. We see that you have a positive attitude, creativity, and that you can adapt your approach based on the situation and the students. We want you to have a strong interest in developing the educational activities for the student’s entire school day.

It is important that you see each student from a holistic perspective and that you have a supportive approach. You know that your important task is to meet each student’s unique needs and to create the best conditions for all learning during the student’s hours at school under your guidance and stimulation.

You are skilled at and work every day to create good relationships with students, guardians, and colleagues.

Having a focus on sports in your education is an advantage in the recruitment process.
