About You

On behalf of our client in Örkelljunga/Eket, we are looking for a mature personal assistant who is attentive to our client's needs and wishes.

We are now seeking a person who wishes to work on a fixed schedule, approximately 75% position. The position starts in May. The work primarily involves day and night shifts (with sleeping duty), split shifts may also occur.

It is important for us that you connect with the client you will be working with and that you are responsive to their needs and wishes. You should be empathetic and respect the client's integrity. You have a good sense of humor and are prepared to make your own decisions. You are responsible and have an easy time collaborating. You have the ability to take a step back when needed. You are good at motivating others and enjoy challenges in your work.

The client is a young woman in her 20s with an intellectual disability. She leads an active life and is very interested in music and going out to do fun activities such as swimming, shopping, and concerts. The client's disability means she requires constant supervision and motivation in daily activities. The workgroup uses a low-arousal approach.

The client does not communicate verbally but through body language and partially through visual aids.

You can work days, evenings, and weekends. Personal assistance is provided around the clock. Experience in personal assistance is an advantage. You will be part of a team that works with and for the client.

Your Responsibilities

Tasks relevant to the profession. This can range from individualized care to household chores. Assistance is primarily provided in the client's home but also involves accompanying them on activities outside the home. You will work in a supportive and motivating manner. Training will be provided on-site and through Monument Assistans.
