The Social Administration works to provide support and help to children, young people, families, and individuals with disabilities or dependency issues. We also work with outreach and preventive efforts. Fundamental to us is that we meet each other in a respectful manner – both our users and among ourselves as colleagues.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

We are now looking for two support assistants to the planning area Propellergatan and Gathenhielmsvägen 44 who want to become part of our team. The units have different focuses, one is directed towards autism and the other is a more traditional group home. Please indicate in your application what you are most interested in. You will support and coach adults with disabilities such as intellectual disabilities, acquired brain injuries, autism, and autism-like conditions.

As a support assistant, you work to support and motivate users in daily activities to increase independence according to each individual's ability. Your tasks include supporting residents with personal care, cleaning, laundry, shopping, and various activities. It also includes delegated tasks from a nurse such as tube feeding, insulin, and medication management, and sometimes rehabilitative and training efforts from a physiotherapist.

We prefer that you have experience working as a support assistant in group or service housing within LSS with the target group of individuals with various disabilities such as autism, intellectual disabilities, and challenging behavior.

Follow the regulations that apply to social documentation, work with the establishment of implementation plans, and follow up on individual goals and sub-goals. Maintain a low-arousal and respectful approach focusing on the participant's involvement and influence. You will contribute to the quality development of the operations and participate in various meetings, training, and supervision.

QUALIFICATIONS

To be considered for the support assistant position with us, you have an education in the nursing program (high school level) or other training and experience that the employer deems equivalent. You also have training focused on disabilities.

A driving license is an asset but not a requirement.

The work is conducted with great respect for the residents' right to self-determination and integrity. The tasks require personal responsibility, flexibility, and initiative.

We have high demands for collaboration skills, communication, and understanding the importance of teamwork. To fit in with us, you need to be secure in yourself, fearless, and have the ability to remain calm. It is required that you as staff are attentive, patient, and able to handle many different tasks simultaneously.

We require digital competence as all documentation is done in digital systems.
