Job Advertisement: Case Officer in Bankruptcy Management

Do you have a completed high school education and thrive in both independent work and collaboration? Do you want to create societal value together with your colleagues? Join us in making society possible!

About the Job

You will be part of a team whose task is to administer and process bankruptcies and debt restructuring cases, as well as handle incoming mail via email or other systems.

In your work, you will have many verbal and written contacts with other authorities, bankruptcy administrators, private individuals, and companies.

Your tasks in bankruptcy management include, among other things, registering new bankruptcies with associated administration and monitoring the state's claims. With the support of laws and regulations, you will assess each document and investigate as needed. In the work with debt restructuring cases, you will investigate, make assessments, and write statements to the Enforcement Authority. When the Enforcement Authority decides to initiate a debt restructuring, our work begins, including compiling the debts that will be included in the restructuring. A case typically lasts several months, during which time several registrations and checks are made.

You plan your own workday and drive your cases both independently and in collaboration with others. Due to the large influx of cases, high volumes are handled. You work closely with your colleagues, providing and receiving support from each other. The work is varied, and you learn and gain new knowledge. You have flexible working hours, and it is a given for us that you should have a balance between work and leisure.

You will belong to the Corporate Taxation Department in a section within the creditor unit, located in Linköping. Our sections employ between 18-20 staff members.

About You

To do a good job and thrive with us at the Swedish Tax Agency, you need to be attentive, think innovatively, and take responsibility. You should also adhere to our employee policy (https://skatteverket.se/medarbetarpolicy).

In this job, you should:

  • have the ability and willingness to learn new things, be flexible, and open to change
  • have a good ability to collaborate with others and be helpful, which means being receptive to others' opinions and taking responsibility for completing shared tasks
  • independently plan and drive your work forward to achieve results
  • speak and write simply and clearly in Swedish
  • have good problem-solving skills, see patterns, and be able to make delimitations.

You should also have:

  • a completed high school education
  • several years of relevant work experience in administration or case management within economics or law.

Current work experience from the Enforcement Authority is desirable. It is also desirable to have current work experience from similar tasks in an authority. Additionally, current work experience from similar work in a bank, collection agency, law firm, or court is also desirable.
