School Custodian/Administrator for Risöskolan and Igelbäckskolan
We are now looking for a school custodian/administrator for Risöskolan and Igelbäckskolan.
Risöskolan and Igelbäckskolan are two smaller schools in Rissne, Sundbyberg. Risöskolan is an adapted primary school for students with intellectual disabilities. It serves 56 students from preschool to grade 9. Igelbäckskolan is a resource school for students with a diagnosis within the autism spectrum (ASD). It serves 29 students in grades 4 to 9.
Both schools are expected to grow slightly by the autumn term of 2025, which makes support functions in custodial and administrative work of great importance.
In the role of school custodian/administrator, you will provide good service, information, and support to both staff and students within the school as well as to external parties. You are the person many turn to for help. It is a varied and practical role where you are responsible for both daily operations and ensuring that the school environment functions in the long term. You take independent responsibility for your tasks and are expected to be proactive in your daily work while collaborating closely with colleagues and school management.
Your tasks include:
- Maintaining the school's premises and schoolyard
- Repairing or replacing broken items
- Handling internal moves and furniture arrangements
- Alarm and locks
- Welcoming visitors
- Managing maintenance requests related to premises and being the contact person for contractors
- Receiving goods and making orders and purchases according to city guidelines
- Systematic fire safety work, SBA
- Waste and recycling management
- Staff and student administration
- Archiving and record-keeping
- Ordering school transport
- Ordering lunch, special diets, adapted meals, snacks
- Financial administration
- Participating in crisis group
The tasks may change and develop over time.
Your qualifications and experience
You have a high school diploma and preferably previous experience working in a school where you have worked with systems for staff and student administration, finance, record-keeping, and maintenance requests. Digital competence is of great importance, as is the ability to learn new systems and programs, as these are tools used daily.
You thrive in a school environment and build good relationships with both adults and children, as well as having an interest in students' learning and the school. You are meticulous, structured, and self-driven. The work pace can sometimes be high, and you need to be able to plan, structure, and prioritize tasks. You see solutions to problems that arise and take the initiative for improvements within your own area of work.
The job involves many points of contact both internally and externally. Therefore, it is important to express yourself well in the Swedish language in both writing and speech, as well as to have very good collaborative skills.
About the position
The position is a permanent full-time employment. A probationary period may apply. Apply by April 28, 2025. Start as soon as possible. Interviews will be conducted on an ongoing basis. We do not accept applications via email.

The position may be subject to military placement within the framework of Sundbyberg's role in total defense.
