Communicator with a Focus on Civil Preparedness

Do you want to work strategically and operationally with communication in an exciting and socially important organization? As a communicator focusing on civil preparedness, you will play a key role in the communication function of the county administrative board's war organization.

You will also become part of a competent and dedicated team of communicators.

About the Role

We are looking for someone who wants to drive the development of our crisis communication work. You will be one of six communication colleagues and will work closely with the defense and preparedness unit.

Your main responsibilities will include:

• developing our strategies, methods, and governing documents for crisis communication
• collaborating and developing the county's network for joint crisis communication among authorities
• managing operational communication work during crises and wars
• planning and conducting war organization exercises
• coordinating the work with volunteer communicators
• working with various communication assignments within the county administrative board together with other communicators

Are You the One We Are Looking For?

We are looking for a development-oriented, secure, and structured person who can quickly switch between the planned and the unexpected. To succeed in this role, you need to have:

• at least two years of post-secondary education in communication science, journalism, another social science subject, or a field deemed relevant by the employer
• experience in crisis communication work
• experience working with web and social media
• very good ability to work goal-oriented, in a team, and under time pressure
• very good ability to express yourself verbally and in writing in Swedish
• good ability to express yourself verbally and in writing in English

It is an advantage if you have experience in:

• collaborating in public administration
• contacts with press and media
• basic video production

Holding a B driver's license is also an advantage.

Other Information

The position is security classified, which means you must be a Swedish citizen. A successful security screening with a background check is a prerequisite for employment. The security screening will be conducted by the county administrative board once the selection process is complete. With the employment comes an obligation to be placed in a war position, and you will be part of our crisis management staff.

We plan to conduct interviews during weeks 20 and 21.
