JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

We are looking for you who want to work as a mother tongue teacher in primary school. Your workplace will be various school units and different school forms where children and students are present. Your teaching will take place in the form of in-person instruction. Alternatively, remote teaching may be an option.

Upon employment, you will receive an introduction regarding your job responsibilities. You will receive ongoing support in your professional role through various support functions at the workplace. Travel between schools may occur.

• South Sami 5%

The employment is temporary for the school year 25/26.

QUALIFICATIONS

We prefer that you are a licensed teacher with a Swedish teaching degree or that you have a documented foreign teacher education. If you lack teacher education but have another suitable university education, this may also enable employment. You have very good knowledge of Swedish corresponding to Swedish 3/Swedish as a second language 3 or Swedish B/Swedish as a second language B.

It is advantageous if you have work experience from the Swedish school and are familiar with the Education Act and curricula for the different school forms. We expect you to share this value base and can realize it in word and action. You can adapt and vary your teaching. You are a good leader in the classroom and can create trusting relationships with students, colleagues, and management. It is also advantageous if you have digital skills and abilities so that you can conduct mother tongue instruction via remote. You are flexible, easy to collaborate with, and independent. You are open to new ideas and working methods and want to continuously develop your teaching with learning in focus. Working as a mother tongue teacher will give you rich opportunities to meet newly arrived and multilingual children and youth, and your contribution makes a difference.
