About the Company
GKN Aerospace Sweden is part of GKN Aerospace, which manufactures engine components, aircraft structures, cabin windows, wiring, and much more for many of the world's aircraft. The companies in the Aerospace division that work with parts for aircraft engines form Engines, and at our facility in Trollhättan, we develop and manufacture advanced parts for engines for aircraft and space rockets. We also work with engine maintenance.
Repair Solutions is one of GKN Aerospace's four global business areas and includes both component repair (Parts Repair) and comprehensive solutions for the maintenance and overhaul of industrial gas turbines (Industrial Gas Turbines). We are fully responsible for the business area in Sweden, which includes sales, delivery precision, forecasts, and contracts in the aftermarket.
Your Responsibilities
We are now looking for a Commercial Officer to join our commercial team within the Repair Solutions business area – a key role in strengthening and developing our aftermarket operations.
As a Commercial Officer, you will be an important part of our team within Repair Solutions. You will be responsible for driving commercial issues, developing customer relationships, and ensuring that our contracts and business are handled professionally and profitably. The role is broad and involves both operational and strategic work in close collaboration with technical and program teams.
Your main responsibilities include:
- Drive and manage commercial issues in daily operations
- Develop and nurture customer relationships and participate in negotiations
- Ensure compliance with contracts and identify business risks and opportunities
- Prepare quotes and business proposals together with internal teams
- Be part of the management team for Repair Solutions and contribute to the development of the business area
Your Profile
We are looking for someone with strong analytical skills and a customer-focused approach. You have solid knowledge of contracts and business, and thrive in a role where you can collaborate and contribute to common goals. Furthermore, you are flexible, communicative, and have the ability to understand and convey customer requirements, even in complex and changing situations. You adapt quickly to new conditions and are confident in both individual negotiations and teamwork – qualities that make you a valuable asset to our team.
You have a university degree in engineering or economics, or equivalent experience from the workforce. You communicate fluently in English, both spoken and written, and find it easy to communicate in international contexts. With a good understanding of financial business models, you can analyze and contribute to economically sustainable decisions.
We also welcome candidates with experience working with various types of contracts, such as non-disclosure agreements (NDAs), and are comfortable handling commercial terms and contract negotiations.
