Are you interested in combining data processing and programming with social analysis in the intersection of practice and research? Do you want the knowledge you produce to be used by decision-makers, experts, and in public debate?

The area of Analysis and Statistics is one of the largest knowledge producers in the field of social insurance. We describe, monitor, and evaluate social insurance and disseminate our results in reports, newsletters, as well as at workshops and seminars. We have unique data on social insurance and broad expertise in various analytical methods.

Analyst with a Quantitative Focus

We are now looking for a quantitatively oriented analyst with strong programming skills for placement in the area of Sickness Insurance and Disability.

Together with knowledgeable colleagues, you will primarily process and analyze the data available in the Swedish Social Insurance Agency's data warehouse, Store. You will apply various methods for study design, data collection, and statistical analysis depending on knowledge needs and questions. You have good programming skills and feel comfortable with statistical models. The work requires close collaboration with different parts of the agency, and you combine your strong analytical skills with humility and a sense of responsibility for the entire assignment. You will work on both long and short assignments and often need to handle several different tasks in a day.

As an agency, we work with clear language. This requires you to have a good ability to express yourself and explain methods and results in a simple way. The position involves handling confidential information, which places high demands on proper management. Therefore, it is important that you, who will work with us, have a high security awareness.

We are looking for someone who

  • has a university degree in a relevant field
  • has experience in refining and analyzing large amounts of data
  • has excellent knowledge of using programming tools for data processing and statistical analysis
  • has a systematic and meticulous working style
  • collaborates effectively with others to achieve common goals
  • acts on their own initiative and takes responsibility for achieving good results
  • has good communication skills in Swedish, both spoken and written.

It is advantageous if you

  • have experience in SQL or SAS programming
  • have expertise in statistics or econometrics from university
  • have experience in qualified investigative and analytical work
  • have knowledge of social insurance or a similar area.

Other

A position, permanent, full-time, with start date by agreement. A probationary period may be applicable. In accordance with the Swedish Social Insurance Agency's security guidelines, background checks will be conducted in this recruitment, and employment with us may also involve placement in a security class. In this recruitment, psychological tests and work samples may be used as part of the selection process. Place of work: Stockholm, Telefonplan with the possibility to work remotely up to two days a week.
