Engaged Buyer for Sterisol!

Do you want to work in a broad purchasing role in a stable and value-driven company with a focus on sustainability? Sterisol is now looking for a self-driven and business-oriented Buyer for its operations in Vadstena – a key role for those who want to help develop our purchasing function and work in a stable company in a growth phase!

Your Role

As a Buyer at Sterisol, you will be responsible for the company’s purchasing function together with a colleague. You will work closely with the Operations Manager to develop the company’s purchasing processes and purchasing strategy. You will establish relationships with our suppliers, both nationally and internationally, to ensure that we always have access to the highest quality materials at the best prices. By negotiating favorable agreements and building long-term relationships, you contribute to our competitiveness and sustainability goals. You will also collaborate closely with other departments such as sales, marketing, and production.

Your Main Responsibilities:

• Be responsible for procurement and negotiation with suppliers.
• Develop and optimize the supplier base with a focus on quality, cost-effectiveness, and environmental impact.
• Monitor market trends and ensure access to materials that support our manufacturing and business strategy.
• Collaborate cross-functionally within the organization.
• Participate in projects related to process development and business development.
• Have overall responsibility for the purchasing process while supporting our operational buyer in daily tasks.

About You

We are looking for someone with a post-secondary education in purchasing, logistics, engineering, or economics, and a few years of experience in a similar role. You have an interest in strategic purchasing work and want to be involved in building and developing functions and processes.

You are an analytical and structured person with good negotiation skills and a business-oriented mindset. You find it easy to build relationships and collaborate across departmental boundaries. The role requires good knowledge of both Swedish and English, spoken and written. Experience working with improvement projects or digital purchasing tools is a plus.
