Your role

With us, you will encounter a meaningful job where you, together with other competent colleagues, create a safe and developing school day. You work closely and are involved in the school's student health team and school management, focusing on creating good conditions for learning and development for students with neuropsychiatric disabilities and other cognitive challenges. As a counselor, you are responsible for: - Working with relationship issues, bullying, stress, anxiety, mental health, self-esteem, etc. - Planning, implementing, and following up on psychosocial interventions - Following up on absenteeism and contributing to creating attendance-promoting routines - Participating in the work with safety plans, value-based work, and equal treatment work - Contributing to the school's development in accessible learning environments, inclusion, and adaptations - Making assessments of the student's needs from a psychosocial perspective - Working according to Nytida's framework for pedagogy, where the individual's strengths, participation, and quality of life are in focus

About Pusselbitens School Pusselbitens independent school is located in Dalby, Lund municipality. The school is about 10 km from central Lund. By car, it takes about 15 minutes to drive and by public transport about 35 minutes from Lund. We have two school forms at the school consisting of primary school/resource school grades 1-6 and adapted primary school grades 1-9. After school, we offer after-school care and leisure according to LSS. Our students have neuropsychiatric disabilities such as Autism, ADHD, and/or intellectual disabilities. Each school form has about 20-23 students.

At Pusselbiten, we offer small teaching groups and high staff density. We work in teams in different working groups distributed in two buildings, one for each school form.

We focus on each student's strengths and abilities. We work based on the student's needs to adapt the student's school day. Teaching and other activities during the school day are individually adapted based on the student's abilities, strengths, needs, and daily condition. Our fundamental belief is that our students, with the right support, can achieve anything. We work with clarifying pedagogy. Our goal is always for the student to meet the knowledge requirements and/or goals and achieve as much independence as possible based on their own abilities.

Your experience and knowledge We are looking for someone who has:

- A bachelor's degree in social work/social pedagogy 

Preferably additional training in;

- Child and adolescent psychology 

- Psychosocial work in schools

- Supervision or conversation techniques (e.g., CBT or MI)

We would like you to have experience working in resource schools and/or adapted primary schools or at least 2 years of experience in schools or working with children with neuropsychiatric disabilities.

You are confident in your professional role and have a strong commitment to each student's right to an equal education. You thrive in an environment where reflection, accountability, and collaboration are a natural part of everyday life. As a person, you are structured, unpretentious, and flexible. You have a clear and low-arousal approach. You have the ability to see students' different needs and strengths and the ability to create trusting relationships with students, colleagues, and guardians.
