The operation provides maternity care with approximately 1200 deliveries per year. We handle and deliver all high-risk pregnancies from week 28. We have a well-functioning specialist maternal care.

In gynecology, all gynecological issues are treated and investigated, and all gynecological surgeries and some tumor surgeries are performed. A robot is available. Approximately 1000 procedures are performed annually, both in the operating room and in a day surgery department, while minor procedures are conducted in our gynecology outpatient clinic.

In gynecology, all gynecological cancers are also investigated and treated, where we collaborate with the gynecological oncologist and Women's Health in Umeå.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

At Women's Health at Östersund Hospital, operations run around the clock with labor, maternity, and gynecology with hospital-based medical on-call.

The specialist training aims to eventually achieve specialist competence in gynecology and obstetrics. The work includes day, night, and weekend shifts under supervision based on your competence, with a focus on achieving the goals required for specialist competence. Part of the specialist training (6-9 months) will take place in another location to meet the goals. The work involves a lot of collaboration with other professions. The shifts are planned together with the study director, supervisor, and head of the medical department.

QUALIFICATIONS

A licensed physician is a basic requirement. Experience as a resident physician in women's health is an advantage. Proficiency in Swedish at C1 level is required.

We will also place great emphasis on personal suitability, especially the ability to collaborate and communicate in all the teams with different competencies that the work offers, and the ability to always keep the patient's best interests in mind.
