Housing Coordinator at Campus Services
We are looking for an engaged and service-oriented housing coordinator for Campus Services. Take the step and apply now to become part of our team and ensure that our Housing Office continues to provide a pleasant living environment for our exchange students and guest researchers.
About Us
The Campus Department is tasked with providing suitable premises for education, research, and collaboration. The department is responsible for facility development, security, scheduling and room booking, cleaning services, and janitorial services at the university's three campuses: Örebro, USÖ, and Grythyttan. At Campus Örebro, there is also a Housing Office that manages the rental of housing for exchange students and international guest researchers, as well as a printing service.
The Campus Department's operations are organized into four units: Campus Services, Facility Development, Cleaning Services, and Security and Room Booking.
Campus Services is part of the Campus Department and currently consists of 18 employees. The unit is responsible for renting student housing, printing services, janitorial services, and technical support at Campus Örebro, Campus Grythyttan, and Campus USÖ. The housing coordinators at the Housing Office are responsible for renting out 262 student apartments, distributed across four housing complexes directly adjacent to Campus Örebro.
Job Responsibilities
As one of two housing coordinators, you will be offered a stimulating and varied job where your main task is to ensure tenant satisfaction and that their housing is functional. The work includes both practical and administrative tasks, such as administration related to contract signing and key handover, cleaning inspections, purchasing simple home furnishings and kitchen equipment, and ensuring that the apartments are properly equipped and prepared.
All contact with our tenants is conducted in English, primarily via email and phone, but also in person at our customer service desk at the Housing Office, which is open at various times each day. There is also a significant amount of contact with our landlords regarding any maintenance requests.
Ongoing collaboration and information exchange occur with both the own unit and department as well as with other operations at the university.
In addition to the mentioned job responsibilities, new tasks may also be added to the role of housing coordinator.
Qualifications and Experience
We are looking for someone who has:
- High school diploma
- Driver's license (B)
- Very good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written
- Work experience in housing rental or equivalent
- Administrative skills.
Knowledge of regulations regarding housing rental is desirable. A post-secondary education is also an advantage.
Personality
We place great emphasis on personal suitability and are looking for a positive and service-oriented person. You are practical and solution-oriented when tenants need assistance. You collaborate well in a team but are also self-driven, responsible, and can prioritize your work effectively. The foundation for succeeding as a housing coordinator is your personal commitment to our tenants. This requires a big heart, a portion of patience, and at times, good stress resilience.
We are looking for someone who is also flexible, willing to work on improvements and adaptations. You should have an active role in shaping the position as the operations develop.
