Transport Manager for Sundsvalls Expressbyrå

We are looking for an engaged individual who wants to be part of our transport management team, ensuring that our customers always receive the right solutions, quality, and service based on their specific requests and needs.

About the position;

We are currently seeking a transport manager to join our team at the head office in Sundsvall. The Expressbyrå operates transports throughout Sweden and has a fleet of approximately 150 vehicles. The transport responsibility for this position is primarily focused on Northern Sweden, but there may also be some transports to the south, for example during peak times. You will work closely with our transport managers located at our branches in Stockholm and Gothenburg. We have a total of seven transport managers, two of whom are based in Sundsvall.

The role includes answering incoming calls, receiving orders, and ensuring that existing customer setups function or are adjusted as needed for the day. You will direct traffic in your area and assign tasks to the drivers who carry out the transports. You will create work orders, plan, delegate, and follow up. The position is responsible for planning, staffing, and executing transports related to the Norrland district. We work with programs such as Idha, Vehicle Control, Visma, Rillion, and TransPa.

You will work with our own vehicles and personnel. You will administer and plan for vacations, absences, and illnesses. The role includes administrative routines such as transport settlements, follow-ups, and analyses. You will schedule trucks for maintenance when drivers report issues, as well as book inspections for vehicles and tachographs. You will have an overall knowledge of the status of our vehicles.

You are responsible and we expect you to have a positive attitude towards your work as you will have significant contact with both our customers and drivers. You structure, plan, and prioritize your work and that of others. Under stressful conditions, you have the ability to maintain your composure.

If you have experience with the aforementioned programs, scheduling, and hold a truck driving license, it is an advantage.
