Software Developer at the Swedish Prison and Probation Service
The Swedish Prison and Probation Service is growing – we are building new facilities, renovating, and expanding, and we are now looking for more employees. Our most important goal is to reduce recidivism – to break the vicious cycle. If we succeed, society will be safer and more secure for everyone. We are the authority responsible for prisons, probation, remand facilities, and client transport.

Today, we have five development teams working on the development and management of KVR (Correctional Services Register), which is the system support for the administration of client information. KVR has a large number of unique users per day and is the most used system support in the daily operations of the Swedish Prison and Probation Service.
RESPONSIBILITIES
As a Software Developer, you will be part of a development team consisting of other Software Developers, System Architects, Requirements Analysts, Testers, and UX Designers. In the team, you will collectively be responsible for maintaining existing IT components and developing new ones. The team is responsible for monitoring its applications and services, providing third-line support, and supporting our end users. The team works according to the agile Scrum method and has the opportunity to continuously improve its working methods.
QUALIFICATIONS

Furthermore, we see that you take responsibility for your tasks, structure your work, and drive your processes independently. You also have the ability to easily adapt to changing circumstances.

We are looking for someone who has:
- A degree in a relevant field, such as computer science, software engineering, or similar, or other education combined with experience deemed relevant by the Swedish Prison and Probation Service
- Work experience in software development in projects, assignments, and management
- Experience working in teams
- Experience with agile methodologies
- Ability to express yourself well in spoken and written Swedish
- Good knowledge of .Net, C#
- Experience with development tools (e.g., VS, Azure DevOps, GIT)
- Experience working in software development teams according to agile methods
It is a merit if you have:
- Previously worked with software development in a government agency
- Experience with Scrum
- Experience with DevOps
- Experience with Continuous Delivery
- Experience writing automated tests
- Experience with VB.Net
- Experience with Blazor
