Oncology Department

The oncology department has a regional mission that includes providing advanced medical treatment and care for cancer patients. Within the oncology department, there are day care services, outpatient clinics, radiation therapy, inpatient wards, and palliative teams. Our outpatient clinic employs nurses, contact nurses, research nurses, nursing assistants, and doctors.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

In this position, you will work at our oncology outpatient clinic with standard outpatient tasks alongside doctors and nursing assistants. Part of your role will involve being a contact nurse for cancer patients. We focus on the whole patient and prioritize patient-centered care.

As a nurse, you will, among other things:

  • participate in doctor visits
  • provide telephone advice
  • attend multidisciplinary conferences
  • perform standard outpatient tasks.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone who is motivated by varied tasks and has the ability to work independently in patient-centered care. In your work, you will meet patients with different cancer diagnoses that affect both body and mind to varying degrees. This requires you to be empathetic and responsive, as well as able to support people in crisis. You should be good at communication, have strong collaboration skills, and contribute to a positive and effective team environment. You work for the best of the organization, contribute to development, and see opportunities in change.

As a nurse, you must be:

  • a licensed nurse.

Experience in oncology care and outpatient work is an advantage.
