System Developer at the Swedish Prison and Probation Service

The Swedish Prison and Probation Service is growing – we are building new, renovating, and expanding, and are now looking for more employees. We are the authority responsible for prisons, probation, remand, and client transport.

Today, we have five development teams working on the development and maintenance of KVR (Correctional Services Register), which is the system support for managing client information. KVR has a large number of unique users per day and is the most used system support in the daily operations of the Swedish Prison and Probation Service.

RESPONSIBILITIES

As a System Developer, you will be part of a development team consisting of other System Developers, a System Architect, Business Analysts, Testers, and UX Designers. In the team, you will collectively be responsible for maintaining existing IT components and developing new ones. The team is responsible for monitoring its applications and services, providing 3rd line support, and supporting our end-users. The team works according to the agile Scrum method and has the opportunity to continuously improve its working methods.

We are looking for someone who has:

• A degree in a relevant field, such as computer science, software engineering, or similar, or other education combined with experience that the Swedish Prison and Probation Service considers relevant
• Several years of experience in system development in projects, assignments, and management
• Experience working in teams
• Experience with agile working methods
• The ability to express yourself well in spoken and written Swedish
• Good knowledge of .Net, C#
• Experience with development tools (e.g., VS, Azure DevOps, GIT)
• Experience working in system development teams using agile methods

It is a merit if you have:

• Previously worked with system development at a government agency
• Experience with Scrum
• Experience with DevOps
• Experience with Continuous Delivery
• Experience writing automated tests
• Experience with VB.Net
• Experience with Blazor

We have high demands on our employees' awareness of security and confidentiality. To work with us, you need to undergo a security review in accordance with the Security Protection Act. The position is classified in a security class, and a security review including an interview and background check will be conducted before a hiring decision is made.
