Kronoberg Remand Prison is one of the Swedish Prison and Probation Service's secure remand prisons and is located on Kungsholmen in Stockholm. The prison has approximately 372 places. It is a court remand prison with 3000 - 5000 admissions each year. Kronoberg also manages the police's arrest operations.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

The administration at Kronoberg Remand Prison is a service function where you, as a clerk administrator, will be part of a work group of five people working with client cases through the registration and dispatch of client documents such as decisions and judgments. As a clerk administrator, you will be responsible for archives, diaries, mail handling, orders, and managing the authority's incoming emails. The role also includes a significant amount of judgment handling and sentence calculation, as well as other common administrative tasks. In the role of clerk administrator, you will have close contact with external actors and represent the Swedish Prison and Probation Service towards partners and the public. The tasks require that you have knowledge of the principle of public access while ensuring that confidentiality is maintained.

The clerk's office is located within the prison where you will meet both colleagues and detainees daily, which requires you to work on-site every weekday. You will be subject to the security measures that apply to the workplace.

The position is located at Kronoberg Remand Prison and is not covered by a remote work agreement.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone who is self-sufficient, service-oriented, and has good personal maturity. The processing in the work is part of the legal process, and therefore it is required that you are meticulous and structured. You have good judgment, are quality-conscious, can make the right priorities, and are used to working at a fast pace at times. The work as a clerk administrator is a service function and requires that you have the ability to work both independently and in close collaboration with colleagues and other actors both within and outside the authority.

We are looking for someone who has:

• At least high school qualifications in the form of final grades/high school diploma
• The ability to express yourself well in spoken and written Swedish
• Good computer skills and experience with the Office suite
• Relevant work experience as an administrator in the last two years
• Experience with administrative tasks from public operations that the Swedish Prison and Probation Service deems suitable for the position

It is advantageous if you have:

• Post-secondary education in law, administration, or other education that the Swedish Prison and Probation Service deems suitable
• Experience with sentence calculation
• Several years of documented experience working with diary management, archives, or confidential documents
• Experience working in a clerk's office within the Swedish Prison and Probation Service or other public operations
• Experience working in Platina

OTHER

We have high demands on our employees' security and confidentiality awareness. To work with us, you need to undergo a security review in accordance with the Security Protection Act. The position is classified in a security class, and a security review including a security interview with a background check will be conducted before a hiring decision is made. During the security review, you will be investigated as a person, your background, and your relationships from a security perspective.
