Business Controller at the Sámediggi

The Sámediggi's department for finance and operational support is a support function within the authority, for employees, our politicians, and the public. With our knowledge and expertise, we contribute to ensuring that the Sámediggi's operations are conducted legally, are properly reported, and are efficient. We are now developing our work with internal governance and control, where the business controller will become a key function.

Your Responsibilities

As a business controller, you play an important role in driving and developing the operations forward in accordance with set goals. Your tasks include, among other things, collaborating with all departments to work on the operational plan and follow-up, contributing to the development of processes with goals, indicators, and measures, as well as coordinating the work with the authority's annual report and providing summary analyses for decision-making. You are also the coordinator for other reporting.

You analyze the operational risks, review, and propose improvements to the authority's process for internal governance and control. You are a support for both the management and the board in decision-making regarding actions.

Travel may be required as part of the job.

Your Qualifications

You have a degree in finance from a university or equivalent, preferably with a focus on financial management and/or operational management. Other specializations may also be relevant. You have at least three years of relevant work experience in a similar role, where you have worked with systematic quality work, planning, and follow-up. You also need a couple of years of work experience in process management where you have led workgroups within the framework of processes/projects.

Experience in quality and follow-up work, preferably in a government agency or other public administration, or experience as an auditor is advantageous. Experience with planning and follow-up tools, case management systems such as Platina, experience working in process tools, and experience with ERP Unit4 Agresso is also advantageous. Knowledge of the Sámi languages and the Sámi society and culture is also a merit.

You have the ability to challenge and improve existing processes, always focusing on optimizing workflows. Additionally, you have a strong attention to detail and are meticulous, ensuring that the work is correct and of high quality.

You collaborate well with others, are communicative, and ensure that messages are conveyed, expectations are clear, and you remind and follow up as needed. The role involves communicating with various stakeholders as well as drafting reports and decision-making materials. Therefore, it is important that you have a very good ability to express yourself in Swedish, both orally and in writing, and have good knowledge of the Office suite or equivalent. You can present financial information in a clear and understandable manner.

We Offer

Vacation days follow age, which means 28, 31, or 35 vacation days per year.
