RESPONSIBILITIES

Together with regular staff, you create a safe and educational environment where every child can be their best self. To promote children's development, you will be part of a work team and participate in various activities, games, and adventures both indoors and outdoors. You will support regular staff in carrying out teaching in such a way that the goals and intentions of the curriculum are met. This may involve developing and stimulating children's social skills, language, mathematical thinking, and environmental awareness by planning, implementing, and following up on activities based on the educational planning.

Communicating and having a close collaboration with guardians is something you take responsibility for together with regular colleagues. You contribute to the organization's core values and equal treatment plan and serve as a role model for children regarding human rights, gender equality, and respect for each other's differences.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for individuals with various experiences and backgrounds who are drawn to working with people. If you have a pedagogical education, it is an advantage, but not a requirement. We also seek those who may not have much experience yet but are engaged, responsible, and flexible as individuals.

You are good at collaborating with others and can adapt your working methods to changing circumstances and provide support where needed in the organization. In your work, you are a reliable adult role model and enjoy being with children. You value differences and welcome innovative thinking and creativity. You perform your work in a trustworthy manner and have the ability to understand someone else's perspective. We place great importance on personal suitability.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

The Education and Labor Market department is one of the municipality's largest administrations with about 3,000 employees. Our operations are spread throughout the municipality with approximately 35 primary schools, 87 preschools, 40 after-school centers, and four high schools. We work to ensure that children and young people have the tools they need to navigate both the present and the future. We strive for a holistic view and a consistent thread in development and learning from preschool through high school. A growing adult education program and a labor market unit focused on those who need extra support are also part of the administration.

To work within the Education and Labor Market sectors, you must provide a criminal record extract. You can order the extract for school and childcare from the Police (https://polisen.se/). It is valid for one year and must be renewed thereafter.
