Administrative Officer at the Supreme Administrative Court

The Supreme Administrative Court is the highest instance for the general administrative courts. About 85 people work at the Supreme Administrative Court. In addition to the justices, there is a head of the secretariat, heads of preparation, a chief administrator, judicial secretaries, preparation lawyers, court administrators, and administrative staff. The Supreme Administrative Court's premises are beautifully and centrally located in historic buildings on Riddarholmen in Stockholm.

The administrative unit is responsible for the administration of the court by supporting the preparatory and adjudicative activities. The unit also provides services to the public.

Job Description

As an administrative officer, you play a central role in the administrative operations by supporting the preparatory and adjudicative activities. Together with the administrative clerks, you handle administrative correspondence and answer phone calls from the public.

You are responsible for managing administrative decision documents in the court's diary and for updating governing documents. You also handle other administrative tasks related to scheduling and the justices.

You support the court's management, primarily the head of the secretariat's management group and the chairperson. You are part of the head of the secretariat's management group and have a special responsibility for the agenda of the management group and the work with the court's operational plan. Together with the managers, the administrative clerks, and other employees, you will participate in various types of development work.

Your work includes supporting the court's management in recruitment matters and planning court-wide activities such as staff meetings, competence development initiatives, and activities related to internal and external representation.

Together with the chief administrator, you participate in the planning and implementation of the court's recurring processes, such as internal governance and control. You should also be able to act as the acting chief administrator in the absence of the regular chief.

Together with the communicator and librarian, you are part of the court's communication group. The group coordinates the court's communication efforts.

Organizationally, you belong to the administrative unit.

Qualifications

You have completed a post-secondary paralegal education or studied administrative law or public access and confidentiality at the university level, or have some other equivalent education that we consider relevant for the position.

You have at least two years of experience working with similar tasks within public administration. It is advantageous if you have worked at a government agency. Experience in supporting management may be an asset.

You are accustomed to planning, organizing, and prioritizing your work. You are meticulous and structured. Additionally, you take responsibility for your tasks, foresee problems, and take the initiative to solve them. You are responsive, engaged, and have a knack for building good relationships.

You have excellent communication skills and outstanding proficiency in the Swedish language in both spoken and written form, as well as a good command of English.

You are a proficient computer user and have an easy time learning and working with various IT support systems.

The administrative unit is a relatively small and inclusive workgroup, so we place great importance on your personal qualities.
