For autumn 2025, we are looking for a teacher at Entréskolan Örebro with qualifications to teach textile handicrafts for grades 4-9, preferably in combination with another subject. Are you interested in developing our students' knowledge through inspiring and creative lessons in collaboration with other subjects? Then you are the person we are looking for. The position involves teaching textile handicrafts in grades 4-9 as well as teaching within our art profile. You will work closely with our wood and metal crafts teacher and art teacher. The position is 80%, but can be adjusted to 100% depending on other qualifications and personal preferences.

Aesthetic Primary School Grades 4-9

Entréskolan is an aesthetic primary school for grades 4-9 with a focus on active learning through creative creation based on aesthetic expressions in subject-integrated work areas. Entréskolan also exists in Västerås, Stockholm, Uppsala, and Eskilstuna. We offer four aesthetic profiles: theater, music, dance, and art. Admission to each profile is through skill tests.

Entréskolan is characterized by an interdisciplinary approach in various work areas where theoretical subjects are integrated with aesthetic subjects. We work to ensure that every student is involved and active in their learning. We want our students to feel safe, seen, and respected at Entréskolan. As a teacher with us, you are an important part of that work.

We are looking for someone with previous experience working with students in middle school. At Entréskolan, the school year is divided into subject-integrated work areas where teaching is planned together by teachers around a group of students. Therefore, it is important that you enjoy a role where collaboration is a central part. We prefer that you have good IT skills as a large part of the work is done with digital tools. All students in the class have access to their own computer used at school. As a person, you thrive in a role where you have a great deal of responsibility and are given the space to take many initiatives but can also listen and collaborate with others. You are creative and are happy to come up with new ideas and approaches. An advantage is if you have an interest or experience in any aesthetic expression.

- has computer skills and the willingness/experience to work with the computer as a tool in educational work

- has a positive view of all students' ability to succeed

- has great commitment and is driven and initiative-taking

- has a strong ability to communicate and create relationships with students and parents in a solution-focused manner.

Education

You hold relevant education and experience. Great emphasis is placed on personal suitability and willingness to work with subject integration in a creative learning environment.
