We are looking for a Measurement Site Manager for Trafikverket stationed in Sundsvall. 

This is a consultancy assignment. 

The position is part-time, with an estimated scope of between 50-70 percent. 

The assignment involves close collaboration with the client, which places high demands on flexibility and teamwork.

The Assignment and Responsibilities 

The East Coast Line between Sundsvall and Gävle is heavily trafficked, which means that travel times are longer today compared to the year 2000. With a double-track expansion, Trafikverket aims to increase capacity so that more trains can operate on the East Coast Line and reduce travel times. Measures at and adjacent to Sundsvall station will also be implemented to improve accessibility for passenger transfers both within and between modes of transport, improve transfer times between train departures, and enhance traffic safety for passengers in Sundsvall.

The section between Dingersjö and Sundsvalls C is approximately 12.5 km long and is managed as a program within Trafikverket's area of operation for Large Projects. The program is divided into several projects and expansion phases. For the phase between Kubikenborg and Sundsvall station, the railway plan has gained legal force, which means that procurement of contractors for the constructions can begin.

The first expansion phase includes earthworks and construction work as well as BEST for approximately 2.5 km of double track from Kubikenborg to the station. The phase includes, among other things, new railway bridges over Fridhemsgatan and E14 Björneborgsgatan, several supports, service roads, technical areas, and protective measures for nearby residents and Skönsmons church.

Within the station area, existing platforms will be widened, moved laterally, and extended. A pedestrian passage over the track area will be built, allowing passengers to access the platforms at grade level. To carry out the measures related to accessibility and safety, tracks, contact lines, signals, and telecommunications within the existing station must be rebuilt. In addition to the above, a new signal control system will also be built for the area, as well as several other measures along the Sundsvall C – Nacksta section.

The resource consultant will participate with measurement technical expertise in the production phase for handling measurement technical and geodetic related issues regarding documentation, execution, quality, etc. The assignment includes both fieldwork and office work. Periodically, night and weekend work may occur.

Examples of tasks:

• Collaborate with other site managers within the project and related projects

• Participate in measurement technical kick-off meetings and technical meetings with contractors

• Respond to or relay questions from contractors regarding provided measurement technical documentation and requirements

• Perform control measurements of the contractor's measurements and quantity calculations prior to the regulation of compensation according to the digital measurement system (MSS)

• Follow up that the final documentation provided by the contractor meets the contract's requirements and specified requirements for management data

• Controls for monitoring the contractor's quality management, which includes, for example, work preparations, control programs, control plans, measurements, and testing

• Participate in the review of the contractor's project plan and the parts of the control program that concern measurement technology as part of the documentation for the client's approval of the project plan

• Preparation in measurement technical issues of changes and additional work, the client's notifications, and the client's responses to the contractor's notifications

• Participate in the development of production technical solutions on site

• If necessary, prepare documentation for machine control models

Requirements (IMPORTANT, mandatory)

- At least 7 years of documented experience as a Measurement Manager in assignments within road, railway, and/or construction projects. Measurement Manager refers to the person responsible for quantity regulation. - The consultant must report at least (2) assignments as a measurement manager as described above. This must be road, railway, and/or construction projects with a budget over 50 million SEK carried out in the last 7 years. - Documented education in AMA/RA/MER construction 17 or later. - Measurement technical authorization type II according to TDOK 2018:0008 - Good knowledge of the various machine control systems on the market. - Must be able to express oneself well in Swedish and English, both orally and in writing. - B driver's license.

Meritorious 

- SOS leader (required by the start of the assignment) - For the client, it is an added value if the consultant has experience working in Trafikverket's systems, such as the project portal and projectwise. - has experience working in a railway environment. - is structured and systematic regarding documentation and follow-up. For the client, it is an added value if the consultant - has experience independently and actively following up on the contractor's work. - has experience with the machine control systems available on the market in production. - has experience in preparing calculations based on MF/TB and unit price lists.
