Job Advertisement: Solution Architect for IT Development Support

Svenska kraftnät is a key player in the energy transition. Our IT division is growing to enable a doubled electricity production and a fossil-free future. With the latest technology, we are increasing both the capacity of our infrastructure and the pace of development in digitalization and processes.

About the Position

As a solution architect for the area of IT development support, you will belong to the unit Development Capabilities and Tools, which is a central unit within Division IT aimed at helping, supporting, and guiding Svenska kraftnät's development teams in IT system development.

This is done by providing centrally managed IT development platforms and tools as well as working methods and processes. Your main task will be to participate as a solution architect in our roadmap and develop solutions to ensure that we execute on the target architecture. An important task currently is to evaluate and introduce new tools and development platforms to manage both existing and upcoming needs in the area.

Your Responsibilities Include:

• Analyzing needs (functional, non-functional) from a strategic, tactical, and operational perspective.
• Leading and driving the development of IT solutions related to the realization of a specific capability from both a business and technical perspective that meets established quality requirements.
• Ensuring that solutions are designed in accordance with Svenska kraftnät's target architecture standards, architectural principles, and IT security architecture, and fit into our IT environment.
• Communicating and anchoring recommended solutions and choices with relevant target groups at both strategic and operational levels.
• Being responsible for the architectural views of capabilities and sub-capabilities. Examples of deliverables: scenario descriptions/use cases and solution design (architecture description).

You will play a key role in further developing our capability in IT system development with a particular focus on development platforms and development tools. By contributing to increased efficiency, speed, and robustness in our applications, you strengthen our capacity to meet future needs. You support, guide, and contribute to collaboration between our development teams to increase knowledge sharing and innovation within Svenska kraftnät and the Nordic and European ecosystem we are part of.

About You

Required Qualifications

We are looking for a structured and driven person with an architectural holistic view and the ability to see how different parts interact in a larger context. You are creative and solution-oriented, willing to bring ideas and suggestions, and lead solution discussions with clarity and openness. With your relationship-building and friendly personality, you create trust, build collaborations, and are persuasive in your communication – both in technical contexts and cross-functional groups.

To be successful in this role, a solid professional background in IT architecture and IT system development is required. You have a degree from a university/college/vocational school in computer science or similar, or equivalent competence that Svenska kraftnät assesses as comparable. You also have:

• Several years of work experience as an IT architect/solution architect in IT system development within a larger organization.
• Work experience in defining and delivering IT solutions based on strategy, business processes, and operational requirements.
• Work experience in leading and driving architecture-related issues within IT projects or IT management.
• Work experience in agile working methods.
• Good ability to express yourself verbally and in writing in Swedish and English.

We consider it an advantage if you are a certified business or IT architect and have several years of relevant work experience in:

• Working in a critical societal function or in a business with very high security requirements.
• Test automation
• ITIL
• Tools for documenting architecture Sparx EA, Visio, or similar.
• IT security, DevSecOps, and ISO27000
• Project management: PPS
• DevOps
