English Teacher at Ängskolan

Ängskolan, with approximately 1100 students, is a municipal F-9 school in central Sundbyberg, close to nature and with good transport links. As an English teacher, you will be responsible for planning, implementing, and evaluating instruction in your subjects according to the curriculum, in collaboration with other colleagues at the school.

Your duties also include responsibility for documentation and assessment of students' learning, as well as follow-up and analysis of results to improve students' goal achievement. The position includes mentorship alongside a colleague.

With your solution-focused approach, you have a positive attitude and see it as your responsibility to create good and sustainable relationships with students, parents, and colleagues. You have good knowledge of NPF (neuropsychiatric disabilities) and understand that adapting instruction and the learning environment for NPF is beneficial for all students. You identify strengths and build on what is successful for each student. With an inclusive approach and the ability to see students' varying needs and individual conditions, the opportunities for everyone to feel joy in work and succeed in school are maximized.

As the class leader and a good role model, you are flexible, enjoy structure, are full of ideas, and see every interaction with students as an opportunity. You have good collaboration skills, are proactive, and have a holistic view for each student.

We prefer that you have a teaching license and qualification to teach students in grades 7-9. It is an advantage if you have previous experience working as a teacher in the relevant grades. You are accustomed to using digital tools such as Google Drive and Google Classroom.

The position is a temporary position during the school year 25/26 starting August 12, 2025. The application deadline is April 30, 2025.
