The city of Solna owns the company Solna Vatten AB, which manages the pipeline network and pumping stations for drinking water, wastewater, and stormwater. We work to ensure that the city develops by providing good water and sewage supply, both for those living in Solna and for those visiting or working in the city. We care for the environment and strive for a functioning water and sewage network for both current and future generations. We are a client organization, which means we purchase services for contracting and operations. We also buy our drinking water from Norrvatten and treat our wastewater through the Käppala Association.

What Does the Job Entail?

A strategic, long-term, and sustainable water and sewage planning is necessary to meet the opportunities that Solna Vatten faces. Part of the assignment includes shaping the future water and sewage supply in a rapidly growing Solna. Your daily tasks will involve reviewing detailed plans and coordinating them with Solna Vatten's needs, the city's needs, and the developer's. You will have an extensive network of contacts, including within Solna city, municipal associations, contractors, and other community planners. You will be an important cog in a small and agile organization with short decision-making paths. Part of the day may also involve coordination meetings in projects and acting as the client's construction manager if this is an area you wish to develop in. Together with a senior project manager at Solna Vatten, you will contribute expertise in strategic overview and detailed planning work as well as in larger projects such as detailed plans and developments.

Who Are We Looking For?

We are looking for someone who:

has a master's degree in civil engineering in road and water technology or equivalent experience or other education deemed equivalent by the employer
has experience in operational issues related to water and waste and has worked with the VA-bank system
has experience in project management of land and construction work and trenchless renewal
has broad experience in managing their own contracting projects
has knowledge of preparing, reviewing, and investigating water and sewage projects in development environments.
is senior in projects, design, and/or construction management roles
is accustomed to reviewing design documents - drawings
has knowledge of BAS-U/BAS-P, AMA, AB/ABT

We consider it an advantage if you have:

experience from a client organization
experience in setting requirements during procurement

We are looking for someone who maintains their specialist knowledge as required by the role and acts as a resource for others in the organization.
