Ålsta Preschool and Primary School is beautifully located in the new Barkarbystaden, adjacent to beautiful natural areas. The school is located in newly built premises (moved in ht-23). For the next school year, the school is growing and will have students from Preschool Class to grade 5 to be a fully developed F-6 school by the school year 26/27.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

We are now looking for an engaged and attentive teacher with a positive outlook! Your tasks will be to teach in the school’s F-3 and have mentoring responsibility for one of the classes. We work with a four-year rotation, which means you will teach from Preschool Class to grade 3 in close collaboration with other educators.

Together with the other educators in the work team, you are responsible for creating and developing a safe and secure environment that attracts and challenges students to activity, learning, and responsibility. You want to be part of driving pedagogical development and use current research and can apply it in your work. You plan and follow up on teaching and analyze and assess the results.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone who:

• Finds it easy to collaborate with students, colleagues, guardians, and other staff. You relate to children and adults in a responsive and smooth manner and listen, communicate, and resolve conflicts constructively. You see collegial learning as a given and a prerequisite for creating new and deepened knowledge.
• Plans, organizes, and prioritizes work effectively. You develop students' ability to learn and involve them in planning the activities. You have high and positive expectations of the students and are solutions-focused. Furthermore, you possess a strong desire to work to create the best pedagogical conditions for the students.
• Have a positive attitude towards work and act in accordance with decisions made, operational plans, goals, policies, and guidelines.
• Have good self-awareness, are secure in yourself and in your pedagogical leadership, and have the ability to take leadership both inside and outside the classroom. You work independently and are flexible.

Requirements:

• Are a licensed teacher for grades F-3.

Meritorious:

• Previous experience in pedagogical work.

We place great emphasis on personal suitability. The position requires good knowledge of Swedish in both spoken and written form.
