We at the Technical VA unit need to grow and are looking for an electrical engineer. Here you will join 18 wonderful colleagues who together are responsible for electricity, automation, and maintenance of the municipality's drinking water and sewage facilities. The technological development and the stringent requirements on our facilities mean that the unit is at the forefront of technical development.

Responsibilities

You will work with the development and maintenance of our electrical systems. Your tasks will include electrical design, drawing and documentation management, ordering role, reviewing documents, problem-solving, project participation, and project management. There is also the opportunity to work operationally at the facilities during troubleshooting and commissioning as a participant or leader. The role is flexible and can be partially shaped based on your skills and development opportunities.

You will be responsible and collaborate in assignments with team leaders, system technicians, electrical and instrumentation technicians, project managers, and other colleagues in the VA department.

You will participate in our ongoing work to develop and improve working methods, routines, and maintain maintenance.

Qualifications

We are looking for a university-educated electrical engineer with a relevant electrical focus or someone who has otherwise acquired good knowledge in the field. It is advantageous if you have several years of experience in water and wastewater or process industry in a similar role. Since our facilities are located throughout Karlstad municipality, it is a requirement that you have a B driver's license.

You should have good experience in electrical design using AutoCAD, ELPROCAD, or similar. It is advantageous if you have experience with PLC, motor control, and process instrumentation within the water and wastewater sector or process industry. It is also advantageous if you have previously used EL-VIS or Febdok for dimensioning electrical systems.

As part of Technical VA, you are a part of the important cog that manages and develops our approximately 300 facilities. As a person, you are attentive, unpretentious, and can create good relationships through effective communication. Engagement, quality, and a sense of responsibility characterize your work. You drive your tasks independently but seek help when needed and take the initiative to achieve the organization's goals. You work in an organized manner and have the ability to drive and keep assignments together. You actively seek knowledge and find it enjoyable to work on improvements and development. Your ability to understand technical connections is good, and you are analytical.
