Park School is a small, pleasant two-parallel, F-5 school, with about 230 students, located in western central Aneby. The idea is that we will also have grade 6 at the school in the near future.

The school has access to a large sports hall and is close to nature, which is a natural part of the school's everyday life. With us, you will find a competent faculty with high competence, where everyone cares about creating an inclusive atmosphere and a good social work environment focused on developing students' full potential.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

We are looking for you, a qualified teacher/special educator with experience and competence to teach in primary school and assess using criteria for assessing knowledge/grade criteria. Experience in early reading instruction, reading development, and reading teaching, as well as mathematics learning, is considered an asset.

By autumn 2025, Park School needs a special educator. Your task will be to both guide work teams and staff regarding individuals/groups and work operationally with individuals/groups. In your role as a special educator, you will also be part of the school's management team to analyze and identify areas for development within the school's operations. Based on the identified areas for development, you can be a key player in the setup of future development work.

Individual support will be provided based on each student's individual needs.

As a special educator/teacher with us, you will plan the teaching together with colleagues/work teams based on the curriculum for the groups or individuals. In the faculty, we strive to adapt teaching, environment, and communication in various ways. In your work, you will support the work team with pedagogical mapping and assessment, guidance, documentation, adaptation of the learning environment, follow-up, and evaluation.

As a special educator, you are engaged, structured, goal-oriented, plan and implement teaching that promotes learning and development among students with full focus on each individual and based on their individual conditions. You document and follow up on development and communicate it with the principal, student, and guardians.

QUALIFICATIONS

You are a licensed special educator/teacher, and we see that you:

  • have high expectations of students and their ability to develop.
  • have clear leadership, are responsible, organized, and results-oriented.
  • are a relationship builder with a low-affect approach.
  • are responsive to each student's conditions and needs.
  • stimulate students' curiosity and desire to learn.
  • have good collaboration skills and flexibility.

You have a good ability to create good relationships, clarify expectations, encourage your surroundings, and communicate with students, guardians, and colleagues. You find it easy to understand someone else's perspective while maintaining professionalism and are well acquainted with the school's governing documents. As an employee at Park School, you dare to try and develop other working methods and are happy to share your knowledge and experiences with colleagues. You are driven and interested in being part of and developing collegial learning.

Personal suitability is highly valued as we appreciate solution-oriented thinking and good collaboration skills.

No experience is required. However, experience is always an asset, especially if it has made you a better teacher.
