The Social Services Department in Örkelljunga municipality consists of social services, elderly care, municipal health and medical care, care for people with disabilities, and preventive functions. We are organized into a preventive unit, a supervisory unit, and an execution unit. Our guiding principle is teamwork, utilizing the strength of a small municipality to work closely together in short decision-making paths for an efficient organization and a service-oriented perspective.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
We are proud to announce that the Social Services Department has been recognized in the media for its forward-looking work with welfare technology and new solutions. In the National Board of Health and Welfare's survey within elderly care, we continue to make progress, particularly in the area of service delivery, confirming that we are on the right track.
The work involves providing individual care and service based on the individual's needs. This may include assistance with dressing and undressing, transfers, personal care, cleaning, laundry, and shopping. Engaging users is part of the assignment. Documentation is also an important part of the work to ensure that the users' needs are met in the best possible way. It is the individual need that determines which services are relevant and how often they are provided. Services are assessed based on the Social Services Act.
Working hours may be scheduled during the day, evening, weekend, or night depending on the operation and scheduling.
We offer:
- During the summer vacation, the aim is for half of our regular staff to be on duty, which means that substitutes receive a good introduction and shadowing with experienced colleagues.
- As part of your introduction, you will have access to our training apartment where you can practice various work situations.
- For those who wish, we offer our summer substitutes a monthly salary through monthly employment.
- Our summer substitutes are offered employee-promoting activities and a wellness grant worth 800 SEK.
If you have previous experience in the care profession and wish to take on greater responsibility, we offer a mentorship supplement if you want to take on extra responsibility and support less experienced substitutes. Contributions to teamwork, improvement suggestions that can enhance our ability to handle crisis situations, and improve continuity plans are particularly rewarded through salary supplements based on hours worked: under 100 hours gives an extra 1000 SEK, and over 200 hours worked gives 2000 SEK.
QUALIFICATIONS
We are looking for someone who has a good approach with everyone you meet and has a positive attitude in your work. This means being prepared for the changing needs of the operation and being able to meet changes with a positive mindset.
You are confident, stable, and have good self-awareness, which also applies in stressful situations where you maintain your calm. You work well with others, interacting with them in a responsive and smooth manner. You are calm and responsible. You have clear and well-articulated speech and can also express yourself well in writing. You see opportunities rather than obstacles and contribute to a healthy work environment. You have a good ability to collaborate with others and are flexible as you can come to different workplaces at short notice. We place great emphasis on personal suitability.
Our mission involves caring for the most vulnerable groups in society, but also being able to handle technology and mobile phones that are part of the work equipment. You need to be open to learning the systems we use in the assignment as documentation and digital signing are included.
Selection is made continuously during the application period, and appointments are made by agreement.
A driving license (B) is an advantage. Also, the ability to cycle is beneficial. Within home care, there are newly purchased electric mopeds that require an AM driving license.
It is preferable if you can work throughout the entire summer period, weeks 26-33.
Care assistant training is desirable, and previous work in care and nursing is an asset. For employment as a care assistant, it is required that you have adequate training and can provide proof of a protected professional title from the National Board of Health and Welfare. Those who are untrained can work as, for example, care aides for a limited time.
You must have the ability to receive delegation from a nurse regarding, among other things, medication to be able to work in care. Before the summer, you will be scheduled for an introduction, including lifting technique training and training to ensure you can manage delegation.
OTHER
In connection with the interview, you need to verify your citizenship. You can do this with a passport or a personal certificate along with an ID document. If you are not a citizen of Sweden, the EU, EEA, or Switzerland, you must show that you have a valid work permit or are exempt from the requirement to have a work permit, which is required after verification according to the Aliens Ordinance.
In connection with the job offer, you as an applicant must submit a criminal record extract before employment can take place. Ordering is done via the police's website.
