JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

As a teacher in Landskrona, you are expected to lead and develop teaching and mentoring. This is done in collaboration with other staff, students, guardians, and other stakeholders.

In Landskrona, good teachers are expected to become even better, and there are opportunities to participate in development work at various levels.

You will teach music to grades 4-9 at Sandåkerskolan in Häljarp. You will have your classroom where you build a learning environment suitable for our students and the subject you teach. You will collaborate closely with other teachers in practical and aesthetic subjects. We are looking for someone who wants to develop the music subject together with the students and also in, for example, choir and band activities. You will take responsibility for ensuring that music continues to be an important part of the school's various traditions.

The guiding principles of Sandåkerskolan are Excellent Teaching and Promoting Mentorship. Our subjects are well-equipped with analog teaching materials, and we believe that the variation between digital and analog resources provides a good framework for excellent teaching. The subject team you will be part of has time allocated each week for collegial exchange, joint assessment, and co-planning.

Your position will also include mentorship for about 20 students whom you will meet at the start of each school day between 8:00-8:30, as well as several mentorship days with the students throughout the school year. A portion of your position is dedicated to mentorship, which includes contact with guardians.

Together with other mentors, you will form a mentorship team for the grade. You will meet weekly for mentorship meetings where you co-plan and follow up on the content during mentorship time, which, in addition to individual conversations with students, includes systematic teaching based on chapters 1-2 in Lgr22.

Together, these working methods create a promoting mentorship.

Language Skills

Very good knowledge of Swedish.

Teaching License

We are looking for a licensed teacher with qualifications in music.
