JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

As a care assistant at Estrids Gård, you will perform standard care assistant tasks. Together with your colleagues, you will be responsible for planning and implementing daily activities and community-promoting initiatives based on the residents' wishes and needs. You will support the residents in maintaining their existing interests and inspire them to discover new activities that can contribute to their well-being and quality of life. The tasks include personal care, daily chores such as cleaning and laundry, social activities, medication management, and various responsibilities in the form of proxy assignments. You will also actively work with implementation plans and social documentation.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone who is a trained care assistant with a protected professional title and who has a big heart for working with people in need of support. You are a cheerful and solution-focused person who enjoys working both independently and in a team. We highly value personal qualities such as responsibility, initiative, and good collaboration skills.

You are empathetic, engaged, and calm, and you have a genuine interest in working with people. Previous experience in care and welfare, especially elderly care and dementia care, is an advantage. We are looking for a team player who can contribute to a positive and respectful work environment by understanding and respecting others' perspectives.

• Care assistant education
• Professional certificate from the National Board of Health and Welfare/protected professional title, the certificate must be attached to the application. Care assistant becomes a protected professional title on July 1, 2023 - License (socialstyrelsen.se)
• Good command of Swedish, both spoken and written. Since communication and documentation are important tools in our operations, this is a requirement
• Good computer skills/experience, feeling comfortable using digital aids

We place great importance on personal suitability.

Before we offer employment, you must present an unopened extract from the police criminal record. We also request proof of a valid Swedish work permit, such as a passport or approved work permit from the Migration Agency.

Working hours are 50%, according to a fixed schedule. Working hours are between 7:00 AM and 10:00 PM. You will be scheduled for both day and evening shifts and work every other weekend. Within the care and welfare office, full-time is the norm. More information about what this entails in this position will be provided during a potential interview.
