About the Unit
31st Ranger Battalion is a light conventional ranger unit tasked with supporting the Swedish Armed Forces' special operations forces. The unit operates across the entire conflict spectrum, both in Sweden and abroad. The combination of high personnel standards, high mobility, a variety of weapon systems, and demanding training makes the unit an important resource both in the brigade system and on the international stage.
Main Duties
The Logistics Officer's role at the 31st Ranger Battalion is to support the battalion staff as well as other parts of the battalion in daily operations with various logistics matters, primarily of an administrative nature.
Examples of tasks handled by the Logistics Officer include:
- Administering various types of logistics orders within their area of responsibility or on behalf of other parts of the battalion. Purchasing consumables, food orders, orders for infrastructure measures, etc.
- Responsible for the battalion staff's premises and some other common battalion facilities.
- Administering the battalion's civilian and military fuel cards.
- Leading the systematic fire protection work (SBA) at the battalion.
Additionally, the Logistics Officer supports the S4 Chief with corresponding tasks in the field environment.
Requirements for the Position
- Experience using computers as a working tool
- Documented and current experience in logistics
- Good ability to express oneself verbally and in writing in Swedish
- Driving license B
Desirable Qualifications
- Documented and current experience in administration
- Completed military service, GMU, or GU with passing grades
- Good ability to express oneself verbally and in writing in English
- Experience from overseas service, preferably in a staff position
- Experience as a commander during larger exercises
- Trained logistics assistant
- Education/experience in Office, PRIO, and/or LIFT L
- Military driver's license for light personnel carrier
- Driving license C

To succeed in the role of Logistics Officer, a person who is meticulous, structured, proactive, and has a well-developed sense of order is required.
