The Central Child and Student Health Services in Tyresö municipality fall under the Department of Education and include the medical services of the student health team with a school doctor and twelve school nurses, school psychologists, educational staff at the municipality's Resource and Development Center (RUC), and a return school.

The Child and Student Health Services are led by two operational managers; one for the educational services and one for the health and medical services. In Tyresö, there are 13 municipal primary schools and one high school, as well as adapted schools in both primary and high school. A total of over 6000 children and young people attend the municipality's primary schools and high school.

About the Position

We are now looking for a full-time school nurse for our central student health services, starting at the beginning of the school year 25/26, with a current placement at Hanvikens School, which is a F-6 school with about 450 students, as well as the possibility of school nurse duties as needed at another school one day a week.

As a school nurse in Tyresö municipality, you have a strength in the group through your central employment where you are always close to your colleagues. The school nurses support each other as needed and have a close collaboration. In the group, there is a school nurse with a coordinating function and a school doctor who works with all schools.

You are part of EMI (the medical services of student health) which meets regularly for joint meetings and supervision. You work independently at your school or schools with school nurse tasks such as health conversations, health checks, and vaccinations according to the national childhood vaccination program and health program with health visits in grades 1, 4, 6, and 8, and are an important part of the schools' student health teams and student health work. You have a developed methodological support to assist you. You also participate in the overall quality and development work of the child and student health services.

Who Are You?

We are looking for a licensed nurse with further education in open health and medical care, health and medical care for children and young people, or who has completed the school nurse program and wants to be part of our competent EMI organization.

Previous work as a specialist nurse and/or as a school nurse is an advantage.

We are looking for someone who has a strong commitment to making a difference for the health of children and young people. You are a confident person and enjoy working independently. The job requires a high level of responsibility as well as good collaboration skills and flexibility. You have the ability to structure your work and are meticulous. You are interested in quality and organizational development and have the ability to think holistically.

Experience working as a school nurse is an advantage.

Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability.
