We are looking for more nurses to the medical clinic department 1

We are a general medical care department focusing on stroke and neurology, endocrine diseases, and gastrointestinal issues. We treat patients throughout the entire stroke process, from treatment in the acute phase, with thrombolysis treatment and monitoring, to care during stroke and early rehabilitation. We have short hospital stays with a variation of pace and care intensity, and this, combined with a varied patient group, means that no day is the same, and you will always have the opportunity to develop with us.

Our Offer

It is important to us that you, as a new nurse, feel safe and welcome with us. Therefore, we offer a comprehensive introduction of 6 weeks and continued professional development during your first year, known as the clinical base year. The focus during the year is on your role as a nurse and nursing responsible leader. As a new nurse in department 1, you will be assigned an experienced colleague as your mentor, to have a safe person to connect with. You will also receive targeted educational initiatives regarding professional nursing, various treatment interventions, and disease panoramas.

Job Description

As a nurse, you lead the care of the patients. You will work in a learning environment with reflection as a basis for developing your experience-based knowledge. You work in a team together with nursing assistants, doctors, and paramedics for person-centered and value-creating care.

Right now, we are in a development process where we are developing our structures to create safe care relationships with continuity. The foundation of this work is a daily systematic assessment and analysis of the patient's health and situation.

Working in department 1 means that you will deepen and develop your knowledge about the specializations that are unique to the department.

The department has 20 care places distributed over three care teams. Additionally, we have 2 thrombolysis places where we care for and treat stroke patients in an acute phase with increased need for monitoring.

Work Group

With us in department 1, we work person-centered in multiprofessional teams with broad competence where we develop each other. The work group consists of nurses, nursing assistants, paramedics, and doctors. In our work group, we see the variation of age, experience, and background as our strength. We have fun together and learn from each other, and everyone's role is seen as equally important in the work for our patients. The expedition work is handled during the day by nursing assistants who manage the flow of incoming matters via phone. Planning of municipal interventions is done by social coordinators.

About You

We are looking for you who are a licensed nurse with interest and openness to learn and further develop within the specializations described above.

We see that you are engaged and would like to be part of an organization that is constantly evolving. You want to contribute to a workplace where structure and reflection, order and clarity, as well as professional development are cornerstones. Previous experience is meritorious but not a requirement.

As a person, you are proactive and communicative. Since the work involves documentation and contact with colleagues, patients, and relatives, it is important that you have good knowledge of the Swedish language.
