About the position

Do you want to be our Category Manager for indirect procurement – in a growing and driven procurement organization? Are you an effective problem solver who is also driven by creating long-term sustainable business?

We want to strengthen our procurement department with new expertise and offer a role with varied tasks, interesting challenges, and great opportunities to make an impact.

As a Category Manager, you will work closely with the procurement manager and drive procurement work within indirect categories, but also be involved in improving Newsec's procurement operations. There is a wide range of categories that Procurement manages, and the opportunity for development and making a difference for Newsec and our clients is significant. We are driven by continuous improvements and a high degree of structure in execution.

As a Category Manager, your responsibilities will include:

• Establishing and driving category-driven procurement for categories such as IT, Facility Management, Fleet, and HR
• Ensuring cost-effective and long-term sustainable business
• Participating/driving procurement training, process work, and template development
• Driving change initiatives and close collaboration with business owners
• Structuring and executing supplier management and follow-up

The role is part of the central procurement organization, and you will report to the Procurement Manager but will work closely with internal business owners.

Your profile

To succeed in this role, we believe you need:

• Relevant university or college education in areas such as procurement, economics, or engineering, or equivalent work experience
• Solid experience in category management and strategic procurement
• Good business acumen and the ability to act consultatively
• Skilled in business development
• Good understanding of what is required to succeed in change initiatives
• Proficient in Swedish and English, both spoken and written

Meritorious:

• Professional experience/knowledge in IT
• Experience working as a management consultant
• Experience in project management

The position is a permanent full-time employment with a 6-month initial probation period and is located in Stockholm. The recruitment process is competency-based and includes a personality test as well as a test to assess logical reasoning ability.
