ValueOne is seeking a Project Buyer for a long-term consulting assignment with our client in Stockholm. The assignment is to be filled immediately and will run for at least one year with great prospects for extension.

About the role

As a procurement officer, you will oversee the entire procurement process from request to delivery and ensure that the company's guidelines and procedures are followed. You will report directly to the Contracting and Procurement Lead and play a key role in selecting suppliers, negotiating contract terms, and ensuring quality and delivery precision.

Main responsibilities:

• Oversee the procurement process and ensure compliance with internal guidelines and regulations.
• Select and evaluate suppliers and negotiate contract terms.
• Coordinate logistics to ensure timely deliveries and quality standards.
• Collaborate with the Contracting and Procurement Lead to develop and implement procurement strategies.
• Provide regular reports on procurement activities and supplier performance.
• Identify and mitigate procurement risks and manage any issues.

Experience and qualifications

For this role, a minimum of 10 years of experience in procurement is required, preferably within the construction or infrastructure sector. You should have documented experience in negotiating and managing high-value contracts, as well as a good understanding of large CAPEX projects and procurement in regulated environments. A deep understanding of procurement processes and best practices, along with good knowledge of construction materials, equipment, and industry-specific standards, is essential. Experience in supplier evaluation and selection criteria is a plus. Furthermore, a master's degree in economics, finance, law, or another relevant field is required. Fluent skills in Swedish and English are mandatory; additional languages are a plus.

We are looking for a person with strategic thinking and decision-making ability who acts with high integrity and ethical judgment. You should have strong leadership and collaboration skills and be able to manage multiple procurement packages simultaneously. Good negotiation and communication skills, experience with procurement software and digital tools, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and deadline-driven environment are important qualities. The role also requires the capacity to monitor and report on supply chain performance metrics and the willingness to travel as needed.
