If so, you are the person we are looking for to substitute in our after-school team and contribute to the students' development both during and after school hours!

Who are we?

Svärtingehus school is located in Svärtinge, about ten kilometers northwest of Norrköping, in a developing residential area in a scenic location near Lake Glan. For the school year 25/26, we have approximately 315 students from preschool to grade 6 and after-school care.

Svärtingehus currently consists of 5 teams, and together we are about 40 people working with our students. We are a training school, which means we collaborate with Linköping University and host students studying to become teachers or primary school teachers for after-school care.

At Svärtingehus, we work towards a good learning environment for our students. We strive for high goal achievement and to always provide each student with the best opportunities to develop according to their own conditions. We consciously work to strengthen our students' social skills.

Your responsibilities

You will belong to a team where you, together with other after-school teachers, are responsible for planning, implementing, and evaluating the after-school activities.

During the school day, you will work alongside a teacher and be assigned to a grade. You will be involved in the students' development both before, during, and after school hours.

Before and after school, you will work at the after-school center. You will be responsible for parts of the break activities for the younger students during school hours, which is an important part of the school's value-based work.

Who are you?

We are looking for someone who is a qualified teacher in after-school care. It is an advantage if you have previously worked in after-school activities.

You are a good role model who enjoys structure, is full of ideas, and sees every interaction with the students as an opportunity. Being flexible and solution-oriented is a given for you, and you see the benefits of thinking differently and appreciating multiple perspectives.

You are a clear leader in the student group, flexible, and have a positive view of students. You have a clear pedagogical insight and the ability to translate the curriculum goals into your work. As a person, you are engaged, responsive, and communicative. You want to make every child's day the best and care about building good relationships with guardians.

You are organized and have a good ability to communicate, build relationships, and collaborate with others, including students, guardians, and colleagues. You appreciate working in teams and have a good ability to create meaningful after-school activities for our students, as well as complement the primary school's curriculum in an enjoyable way during after-school activities.
