Slite Health Center is looking for a General Practitioner

In Region Gotland, you can develop and grow, both as an individual and together with others. When you work with us, you contribute to making Gotland an even better place for people in all stages of life. We make each other better.

Do you want to participate in the transition to Good and Close care?

Come to us in Gotland! As a general practitioner in primary care, you and your general medicine team focus on getting to know the people on your list and taking personal responsibility for the medical support they need in their pursuit of better health.

When you work as a general practitioner in primary care, you play a key role in the local community and contribute to making Gotland a better place for people in all stages of life. By striving for fixed contacts in care and facilitating collaboration for shared patients, Region Gotland is preparing its health and medical care for future challenges. As a permanent medical contact in primary care, you are your patients' link to high-quality and modern cohesive care, available to all. We work with the goal of offering our patients high accessibility and continuity with high generalist competence. In Gotland, a political decision was made in the autumn of 2022 to follow the National Board of Health and Welfare's guideline of 1/1100. In May 2024, we followed up on the first year's work according to our action plan and could confirm that we have taken the steps we intended and a bit more.

Slite Health Center is a rural health center with about 5000 registered patients, making it Gotland's smallest health center. About 20 employees work together to provide increasingly person-centered and accessible care. We are a health center undergoing change and development with a strong focus on approach, and we prioritize medical quality and patient safety above all. In a changing healthcare world, we prioritize based on the patient's needs and change working methods when we see that the need exists. Right now, there is intense work going on to shift from a focus on diagnosis to a focus on medical assessment, continuity, and coordination. With us, you will have the opportunity to help shape the work in our general medicine teams. We value professional personal approach, continuity, accessibility, and long-term commitment.

Your tasks

The tasks are varied, including patient consultations, medical participation in special accommodations, home care, and supervision of training doctors. On-call and standby duty is included. You will be responsible for a list based on the guideline of 1/1100. You will have the opportunity to work with other employees to develop the operations and participate in improvement and quality work both at the health center and related to other care.

The doctors in the unit have joint forums with training one afternoon a month together with all permanently employed doctors in primary care. We document in TakeCare.

Who are you?

We are looking for you who are a specialist in general medicine with the authority to work within Swedish healthcare. Knowledge of Swedish corresponding to C1 is a requirement. A driving license (B) is required.

You are confident in your professional role. You have an interest in working with many different medical issues within a broad field. You see the continuous, long-term outpatient work as the primary means to help patients achieve good health. You enjoy working and taking responsibility in an environment that is varied and in constant development.

As a person, you are attentive to our patients' needs, and your approach is professional and humble. You are stable and adaptable in different situations and have an easy time collaborating. Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability.

Before a hiring decision is made, a background check will be conducted through an extract from the criminal record.
