You combine statistics, programming, and analysis to develop models that show how TV and streaming are actually consumed. As a Data Scientist at MMS, you will be an important link between media and IT. You will provide data that contributes to relevant analyses of how many people actually watch TV and other moving images. Your work will involve understanding and developing statistical models, creating new metrics, and transforming them into efficient flows. You will also ensure that the census flow is improved and build automatic validations.

Part of the role involves communicating methodological issues both internally and externally. You need to be able to explain and justify methodological choices in a pedagogical manner. Additionally, you will support their supplier in the development of model-based viewership figures, which requires an interest and a comprehensive understanding of machine learning models. In the long term, MMS will also explore AI and ML to further develop their flows and models.

To thrive in the role, we see that you have experience in:

• Relevant post-secondary education
• A programming language for data analysis, such as Python or R
• SQL and practical experience working with databases
• Fluent in both Swedish and English, spoken and written

It is also an advantage if you have experience with – or are interested in learning about:

• Development within cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure
• Development and deployment of data pipelines
• Development and maintenance of Power BI reports and/or SSAS models (knowledge of DAX is a plus)

As a person, you are analytical, meticulous, curious, and interested in learning new things. You enjoy analyzing large amounts of data and are driven by finding potential correlations and understanding causes.
