Working hours:

Monday and Wednesday afternoons as well as Friday afternoon/night. Positions need to be filled immediately, both full-time (50-100%) and part-time.

About you and the client:

We are looking for both men and women; it is important for the position that you have several years of experience in personal assistance and want to work with an 18-year-old boy with autism.

He enjoys walks, movies, and music. It is also fun to help cook, grill, and bake, which are daily tasks.

Communication is done with the help of pictures, but he understands when you talk to him. Your workplace will be in Älvsjö, where he lives with his family.

We are looking for a personal assistant who is passionate about working with youth. For this job, you need to have several years of experience as a personal assistant, as well as experience with children with autism.

You also have experience working with individuals with challenging behavior. Since the boy communicates using pictures, it is an advantage if you have experience with communication tools such as PECS and Grind. Otherwise, you will receive training on-site.

Furthermore, it is important that you are confident in what you do, independent, proactive, and patient. You are a driven person who is physically and mentally strong.

In the role of assistant, you will for example:

• help him with daily tasks.
• assist with hygiene and dressing.
• support him in communication with his surroundings.
• support him in activities inside and outside the home.

Requirements:

• You are pedagogical in your approach.

• Stable person who sees the position long-term (short-term positions are not applicable).
• Have a playful spirit.
• You easily take and follow instructions.
• You are meticulous as it involves administering some medications during the shift.
• You are free from pets and smoke due to allergies in the home.
• You should be able to cook, such as traditional Swedish cuisine; baking is a plus.
• Fluent Swedish in speech and writing is required, as daily logs are kept and communication courses are run continuously.

Meritorious:

• Some form of education in healthcare and/or experience working with clients with somatic diagnoses.

A criminal record check is required.
