The municipality's Health and Medical Care Unit consists of physiotherapists, occupational therapists, rehabilitation assistants, nurses, and nursing assistants who work throughout the municipality, both with care homes and regular housing. We are a new joint Health and Medical Care Unit that is in the startup phase and under development. We have much to look forward to and know that healthcare is increasingly being provided in an advanced manner in regular housing. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
As a physiotherapist in Avesta municipality, you are responsible for the rehabilitation of individuals in regular housing, home healthcare, care homes, and short-term accommodation focusing on elderly care, LSS, and social psychiatry. You manage your daily work independently and often collaborate in a team with an occupational therapist. We always provide opportunities for discussion and consultation when needed.
Your responsibilities include functional assessments of mobility, evaluations, implementation and assessment of training, as well as guidance and training of care staff. You also work with fall prevention measures and the prescription and fitting of assistive devices.
Your tasks involve collaborating in a team that includes health and medical staff as well as care staff from both home care and care homes. You guide and educate care staff in a rehabilitative approach. Documentation is done in the Pulsen Combine system. You will be based in our premises at Skogsgläntan in Skogsbo, but work will take place throughout the municipality.
QUALIFICATIONS
We are looking for a licensed physiotherapist or someone who is currently studying in the field and is in their final year. If you have transfer training, this is an advantage. Experience in rehabilitation within municipal health and medical care is also advantageous. We would like you to have a good understanding of the various responsibilities of physiotherapists and an interest in developing work within the organization.
You should be able to work independently but also have the ability to collaborate with the care team around the patient, based on a team-oriented mindset. You take responsibility for your tasks and can relate to others in a responsive and flexible manner. You have the ability to understand someone else's perspective and can adapt your way of conveying information based on the individual in front of you.
Since a large part of your tasks involves communicating with various parties and working with documentation, good knowledge of the Swedish language, both spoken and written, is required. Basic computer skills for documentation and self-service are also a requirement. Experience with the Pulsen Combine system is advantageous. You will be driving a car for work purposes, so a B driver's license is required.
