JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Do you want to be a part of Oxelösund's face to the public this summer? We are looking for two engaged and service-oriented tourist hosts who want to inspire and help our visitors discover everything Oxelösund has to offer!

About the Position

As a tourist host, you will play an important role in Oxelösund's tourist information during the summer when regular staff are on vacation. You will work independently but have support from colleagues at Koordinaten. Your main task is to spread information and inspiration about attractions, activities, and events in Oxelösund. The work is based at Koordinaten at Järntorget, but you will mostly be out and about in the city with our mobile tourist bike.

Job Tasks

• Restock and keep our tourist information clean and tidy
• Publish content to Visit Oxelösund's Facebook and Instagram, mainly events
• Answer questions via phone, email, and from visitors
• Staff the information desk at Koordinaten (library, café, and tourist information)
• Cycle to attractions to restock tourist materials and talk to visitors
• Maintain contact with the communicator on duty

QUALIFICATIONS

Who are we looking for?

We are looking for someone who is outgoing and service-oriented, who wants to meet our visitors around Oxelösund to inspire and discover more of our offerings.

• You must be at least 18 years old
• You have good local knowledge of Oxelösund
• You are familiar with using Instagram and Facebook
• You have an easy time learning new things and take initiative
• You are outgoing and comfortable meeting new people
• You are proficient in Swedish and English, both spoken and written

We consider it an advantage if you are proficient in another language besides Swedish and English. It is also an advantage if you have a high school education in tourism.

OTHER

The position is filled on the condition that it is not needed by already employed staff or that the conditions for recruitment change.

As Oxelösund Municipality is part of the Finnish administrative area, we welcome applicants with knowledge of Finnish. Other language skills beyond Swedish and English are also seen as positive.
