Assignment Description: Supplier Quality Engineer

Location: Västerås

Responsibilities:

  • Supplier Communication:
  • Engage with suppliers to provide feedback on issues identified in production or reported by customers.
  • Request both immediate and long-term corrective actions from suppliers.
  • Quality Improvement:
  • Review and analyze 8D reports.
  • Lead improvement projects with suppliers aimed at enhancing quality and reducing costs.
  • Act as a project team member in production and supply chain management (SCM) projects.
  • Supplier Evaluation:
  • Participate in supplier evaluations and drive corrective action plans to reduce Parts Per Million (PPM).
  • Conduct annual audits on selected suppliers.
  • Collaboration:
  • Work closely with production, purchasing, and R&D teams to enhance the overall quality of purchased materials.

Background Requirements:

  • Experience:
  • At least 2 years of experience in Supplier Quality Engineering.
  • Knowledge of motors and gears and/or cables and harnesses.
  • Technical Knowledge:
  • Familiarity with process audits and ISO 9001 standards.
  • Understanding of PPAP (Production Part Approval Process), FMEA (Failure Mode and Effects Analysis), and control plans.
  • Experience with SAP.
  • Skills:
  • Strong teamwork and social skills.
  • Excellent communication abilities.
  • Fluency in English and proficiency in Swedish.
