Technician

The Intendancy has about 30 employees whose mission is to provide service to the approximately 15 institutions/units operating at BMC.

Job Responsibilities

Operation and maintenance of BMC's shared functions. Mail and package handling as well as work in and around the goods reception. Supervision of lecture halls and common areas, as well as waste management. Handling of internal deliveries. Handling of liquid nitrogen and dry ice. Together with colleagues, develop the work at the Intendancy. Development and follow-up of routines and documentation at the Intendancy. Both general and institution-specific tasks are included.

Qualifications

Technical education or equivalent professional experience. Good knowledge of goods and waste management, as well as good knowledge of Swedish and English in both speech and writing. Knowledge of handling liquid nitrogen and dry ice. Good ability to collaborate, attention to detail, and the ability to independently perform assigned tasks. Good physical ability is required, as internal transport takes place over a large area within BMC. We value good organizational and collaborative skills. You must be meticulous, responsible, driven, and have good work capacity and service orientation. Personal suitability is of great importance.

Desirable/meritorious

Basic computer skills are desirable. Internal forklift license and a B driver's license. Knowledge of the goods management system TRAXsuite. Good local knowledge.

The position is permanent. The scope is 100%. Start date 2025-07-01 or by agreement. Place of employment: Uppsala.
