Main Responsibilities and Duties

The role of Chemical Engineering Expert/Product Developer is a key position where you represent the company's expertise in chemistry. You will be responsible for driving projects to further develop existing products as well as to develop new ones.

• Responsible for product development.
• Responsible for formulations, methodologies, and quality work together with production.
• Regarding chemistry issues, responsible for external contacts such as raw material suppliers, stakeholders, and during sales meetings.
• Responsible for HSEQ issues (everything from SDS to environmental assessments and audits).
• Conduct tests and trials against industry standards.
• Continuously document ongoing projects.
• Actively follow and participate in industry development by engaging in relevant networks and trade fairs.

The position is full-time based in Trelleborg. We are a smaller company with a flat organization. You will report to our head of R&D & Innovation and work closely with both R&D and production, as well as other departments within the company.

Qualifications

• Academic education in the field of chemistry.
• Experience in a similar role within the relevant field and industry.
• Experience working with similar development processes and product standards.
• Familiarity with and a positive attitude towards continuous documentation.
• Fluent in both Swedish and English, spoken and written.
