The Swedish Armed Forces are in an expansion phase and on a significant growth journey. Applying unit: MS (Naval Staff) DSK (Operations Control Office) AST (Amphibious Support Troop) in Karlskrona.
About the Unit
The Operations Control Office's AST department designs and procures technical maintenance, both preventive and corrective, for the Navy's boats and vessels. With professional staff, we carry out and develop operations together with the rest of the Armed Forces (FM) and in close collaboration with the Defence Materiel Administration (FMV) and industry. The department consists of about 15 employees based in Karlskrona.

Main Responsibilities
- Prepare preventive and corrective maintenance needs in dialogue with the units using boats and vessels and convert these needs into orders to suppliers.
- As a natural part of the job, project management will occur, as support to the section's production leaders.
- Check and quality assure completed maintenance after work has been performed by the supplier.
- Participate in and provide technical system support during analysis work, studies, development, and procurement of new and modified material systems, as well as during the creation of documentation.
- Engage in dialogue regarding orders/reviews with suppliers and units.
- Represent customers within your technical area against other technical parties within the Armed Forces, the Defence Materiel Administration, and industry.
- In your role as a systems engineer in ship technology, you will have primary responsibility for the maintenance of the vessels' auxiliary systems such as pumps, hydraulics, refrigeration machines, and gearboxes.
REQUIREMENTS
Qualifications
- Several years of experience in operation or maintenance of vessels within the ship technology area with engine power exceeding 3000 kW.
- You have a degree from the marine engineering program.
- Experience in project management.
- You communicate fluently in Swedish and English, both orally and in writing.
- Driver's license B.

MERITORIOUS
- Experience with the Armed Forces' technical systems. Also, other system work and requirements management as well as operation and maintenance of systems, for example, in the form of previous service in a technical position. Experience from vessels with diesel-electric propulsion.
- Experience working with classification societies and their regulations.
