Swedish Armed Forces Seeking Warehouse Manager for 3rd Helicopter Squadron

About the Unit:

The 3rd Helicopter Squadron operates at Blekinge Air Force Wing in Ronneby. We are one of four squadrons and belong to the Helicopter Wing in Linköping. At the squadron in Ronneby, we have about 190 employees. Our unit is housed in modern facilities where the entire squadron is gathered in a common building. Our development and growth provide many opportunities for you as an employee. The squadron's mission is primarily focused on naval operations, which involves close cooperation with the Navy.

About the Position:

The squadron includes an aviation material company, whose tasks include managing spare parts supply and tool maintenance, as well as monitoring and managing airworthiness-impacting base materials. For this operation, there is a supply group that administers, inventories, issues, and ships spare parts, chemicals, flight-specific materials, and other unit materials.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Warehouse management, record maintenance, and ordering
  • Physical handling of the warehouse
  • Service with wheel loader, heavy truck and trailer, load carrier, and forklift
  • Training and operational activities
  • Readiness tasks
  • Maintenance of soldier skills and competencies
  • Training of conscripts and GSS personnel
  • Maintaining physical fitness

Your tasks will be varied, with a primary focus on the operation of the warehouse. You will be responsible for issuing/receiving aviation materials to aircraft technicians, monitoring inventory, ordering goods in the PRIO (SAP) system, inventorying the warehouse, and being the contact person responsible for the shipping/receiving of goods for national and international actors.

Qualifications:

  • Approved high school diploma
  • Good knowledge of English and Swedish in both spoken and written form
  • Driver's license minimum category B, manual transmission

Meritorious:

  • Experience in warehouse management in the PRIO (SAP) system
  • Driver's license category C1 or higher
  • Completed military service, GU, GMU, or equivalent
  • Wheel loader training
  • Forklift license
  • Relevant experience in aviation maintenance service

The position is located in Ronneby/Kallinge and is a permanent civilian employment that begins with a 6-month probationary period.

Start date by agreement.

The Swedish Armed Forces Helicopter Wing is a unit with both land and naval operational focus that can operate in missions in Sweden and internationally.

Helicopter support is in demand by many. For example, for personnel, material, or medical transport, command, reconnaissance, or surveillance missions. The Helicopter Wing often participates in missions and exercises with other units but also as support to society in various crisis situations.

Our operations span across Sweden, the breadth of tasks, and the wing's size with over 950 employees provide a variety of work and opportunities for personal development. The majority of the Helicopter Wing is located in Linköping (Malmen), where we also manage Malmen Airfield and Linköping Garrison, with two large units in Luleå (Kallax) and Ronneby (Kallinge).
