Sörmland Vatten och Avfall AB is responsible for producing and delivering high-quality drinking water, managing and treating wastewater, and handling household waste in a responsible manner. We utilize our by-products by producing and delivering climate-friendly biogas and returning plant nutrients to productive farmland. JOB DESCRIPTION

We are now looking for a new colleague to join the VA plant at Sörmland Vatten och Avfall. The department's mission is to ensure efficient operation, monitoring, and ongoing maintenance of our facilities for the production and processes of drinking water, wastewater, and biogas. We focus on achieving the highest possible availability and quality while considering economy, environment, safety, and other important requirements.

In the role of operations technician, you will hold a key position where you, together with technicians from both the water treatment plant and the wastewater treatment plant, are responsible for the daily operations of our facilities. Your work will include development, optimization, and monitoring of the processes for the production of drinking water, wastewater, and biogas. In this role, you will work closely with maintenance personnel and other resources within the company to ensure efficient and sustainable operations.

Your tasks will include operating facilities, conducting inspections and sampling, and monitoring our processes to ensure the highest quality. You will also be involved in developing new working methods and routines and actively contribute to our strategic work to drive the business forward. To ensure continuity and quick response, being on-call is also part of the job.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone who has completed training as an operations technician or process technician, or you have equivalent work experience. If you also have experience from water and wastewater operations or process industry, as well as working with optimization and efficiency within water and wastewater processes, we see this as a significant advantage.

The position is located in Katrineholm, and the job also involves travel within the municipalities of Flen, Katrineholm, and Vingåker. A B driver's license is therefore a requirement.
