The Community Building Administration in Järfälla Municipality has a broad mandate responsible for everything from early stages in the community building process to operation and management. We are over 320 employees who together work for the operations under the Environmental and Building Committee, Technical Committee, and Municipal Executive Administration. RESPONSIBILITIES

Our mission is to be responsible for construction and project management of municipal facilities during the Community Building Process, focusing on the implementation phase. We are involved from early stages until the goal of handing over the completed facility to the respective administration for operation.

We are responsible for construction and project management of municipal public spaces on behalf of the Technical Committee, which can include water and sewage facilities, parks/squares, streets, and pedestrian and bicycle paths throughout Järfälla Municipality.

Some of our strengths include our employees, all of whom have a high level of competence in public operations, construction, and project management. This makes us strong in activities that require broad coordination and communication with internal and external parties in all parts of the community building process. We are also skilled at monitoring and managing conflicts of interest for each technical category, as this is a natural part of our work. In addition, we have a good atmosphere where we support and help each other to succeed in our assignments and commitments.

In your role with us, you will:

• Be responsible for project economics (everything from invoice preparation to project economic follow-up)
• Procure consultants and lead our internal project group, where we review technical feasibility studies, system documentation, tender documents, consultant procurement, and similar.
• Ensure that we have the necessary building permits, land permits, and other authority approvals required to carry out the projects.
• Support the development engineer in review and development agreements.
• Participate in the preparation of cases and materials for political decisions.
• Act as an advisor in the early stages of the detailed planning process and much more!

Your role, as you can see, will be quite autonomous and with a great deal of responsibility; you will primarily report to the project client but will also have a lot of contact with our project groups and contractors.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone with previous experience as a project manager, meaning at least 5 years. You may also have worked in a role as a project manager or something we consider equivalent. Formally, we require a university degree focused on urban development (it can be community building or road and water). You have good knowledge of project management methodology and are familiar with industry regulations such as AMA, MER, AB/ABT, and ABK.

You should preferably have previous experience managing water and sewage projects and park and street projects in the planning and implementation stages. It is also beneficial if you have experience working in a politically governed organization, as this can sometimes involve rapid changes in the projects we work on.

We expect you to be proficient in both Swedish and English, and if you also have knowledge of our systems (Bluebeem, Antura, Jakarta), that is highly meritorious.
